Mia started piano aged 5 and violin aged 9 after being inspired by the sounds of her father playing jazz. She has recently completed her final year at Sydney Conservatorium studying with Assoc Prof Alice Waten. During secondary School, Mia held music scholarships at the ANU Open School of Music where she completed both her AMusA on piano, LMusA on violin, and took out first prize at the Open Recital section of the Canberra String Festival.

In 2016 and 2017 she was selected to participate in Sydney Conservatorium’s Estivo Chamber Music Summer School in Italy where her love of chamber music has continued to grow. She has worked with Eberhard Feltz and members of the London Haydn, Kuss, and Goldner Quartets.

An experienced orchestral musician, Mia plays regularly with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. Through Australian Youth Orchestra programs, she has toured internationally and has collaborated with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, the Australian World Orchestra and Momentum Ensemble. At the Sydney Conservatorium, she has held principal positions in both the Modern Music Ensemble and Chamber orchestra.

Orchestra: Currently a principal member of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. Bianca has also performed with the Nederland Bach Ensemble, The European Union Baroque Orchestra, Canberra Symphony & as Concertmaster with the New Dutch Academy Orchestra

Studied: Masters from the Royal Koninklijk Conservatorium, The Hague (Netherlands), 1st class Honours Bachelor of Music degree from the Australian National University

Awards: Peter von Witzleben Prize for most Outstanding Performance, and Prize Winner of the Monash University Chamber Music Prize for Most Outstanding Chamber Music Performance.

Pop: Bass player for Woody Pitney at Obstwiesenfestival (Dornstadt, Aug 2015) and supporting Brings. Cellist/bassist in Melbourne band Acid Western.

Campbell – Prize-winning classical guitarist:

Campbell is an award-winning classical guitarist currently completing his Bachelor of Music in guitar performance under the tutelage of Timothy Kain and Minh Le Hoang. He began studying the classical guitar at the late age of 16, and now at age 21, he is developing a reputation as one of the leading guitarists of the young generation. He has appeared on ABC Classic FM, ABC Radio National, Fine Music FM and ArtSound radio performing as a soloist and chamber musician – particularly as part of the Canberra Guitar Quartet, alongside Andrey Lebedev, Callum Henshaw, and Andrew Blanch. He has performed throughout Australia as a soloist in a number of the country’s most prestigious venues, including recently featuring in the Canberra International Music Festival.

He has been a prize winner in numerous national competitions and eisteddfods, including 1st prize in the 2013 Open Victorian Guitar Competition, 1st prize in the 2013 Australian National Eisteddfod Open Guitar Competition, a Finalist in the coveted Open Sydney Eisteddfod Instrumental Scholarship, open to all instruments nationally (excluding piano), and as a duo Campbell and Callum Henshaw were awarded 1st prize in the 2013 Sydney Eisteddfod Open Instrumental Duo competition.

Campbell has recently been selected as a Semi-Finalist in the forthcoming Tokyo International Guitar Competition.

Matt (classical & flamenco guitarist):

Matt has performed with many highly esteemed artists including William Barton, The Carl Pini Quartet & with numerous national orchestras, as well as maintaining strong commitments in the Australian chamber music guitar groups Guitar Trek and The Brew Guitar Duo.

Matt has a strong history of performing, recording and commissioning Australian works with solo and chamber studio albums released on ABC Classics and Soundset Recordings (USA). Matt thrives on taking his music to wider audiences, broadening and expanding their musical horizons.

Matt has performed across the globe including featuring as a Rising Star at the World Expo in Shanghai. He has given showcase performances across Australia, New Zealand, and Europe with highlights at embassies, universities, festivals and for community organisations. Matt has been invited to be an adjudicator for major guitar competitions including the Melbourne International Guitar Festival and the Uppsala Guitar Festival (Sweden).

Studied: Lucy commenced harp studies aged six. ANU Bachelor of Music Performance degree (Honours) and a scholarship holder at the reputable Exhibition Programme (WAAPA)

Orchestra: Australian World Orchestra, principal harp with the Australian Youth Orchestra, Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony and Sydney Sinfonia

Awards: Most Outstanding Music Student Prize

Solo: Lucy has performed as a harp soloist on Stateline and for ABC Classic FM. She has also performed as a soloist for Queen Elizabeth II, former Prime Minister John Howard and former Governor General Michael Jefferies

Other projects: Lucy has performed with the Halcyon Ensemble, Yothu Yindi, and Vladimir Ashkenazy

Prizes: Churchill Fellowship for Harp Technician Studies in Italy
