Hi Lucie – I just wanted to ask you to pass on my thanks and admiration to Vanessa and the rest of the string quartet that played at my wedding at the National Museum of Australia on Saturday night. They did such a wonderful job – absolutely exceeding my expectations (and I am a regular CSO goer, so I knew what to expect) – and many, many people commented on how brilliant they sounded in the space.

Dear Lucie and Phoebe,
Thank You! We are just now coming back down to earth after a fabulous weekend, culminating in the evening at Grossi Florentino, which we had jokingly taken to calling “the Gala” during the lead-up weeks. Yes, Phoebe, you are right but too modest, as we feel everything went better than “really well”. Your performance and Lucie’s expert arrangements lifted the evening to “really wonderful”!
Phoebe, it was a pleasure to meet you, and your playing was gorgeous. The classical and contemporary pieces set the romantic tone we hoped to create in that lovely setting. Rod and I chuckled again over the “Remember Me” piece because the score itself was so unremarkable and yet between Lucie’s rearrangement and your playing, it took on a whimsical sophistication that sounded charming, and ‘We Are Gentlemen of Japan’ just blew us all away!
We knew from our previous experience with Stringspace that we were in for another great experience, and so it was! Now we are just thinking how fortunate we were to have our special event before the lockdown and wish you all well there.
We look forward to the next chance we get to engage Stringspace. Meantime we’re busy singing your praises to anyone asking about Our Weekend!
Thanks again for everything.
Marilyn & Rod

“Thank you so much for the most beautiful music yesterday for our special day. It was the absolute perfect mood setter for every step of the ceremony, and it was such a joy to listen to when we watched the livestream recording back, about 1AM last night! It was certainly a standout. Thank you again.” – Lisa
Thank you so much for arranging the String Trio for our dinner last Friday.
The musicians, Helena, Matt, and Julia were absolutely wonderful and were very well-received by the guests.
I wondered if I could also enquire about a solo harpist to perform for our next exhibition event for a champagne breakfast.
Many thanks again,
Our classical repertoire list will be themed around the NGA’s current Botticelli to Van Gogh exhibition.
I just wanted to thank you again for bringing together such an incredibly talented group of musicians for last night’s event.
They really completed the evening and transported us all to the ballet. I am in absolute awe of each and every one of them. Please pass on our appreciation and thanks.
Thank you for being so collaborative and giving up your evening (your birthday) to support us. I’m truly grateful.
I look forward to collaborating with you on the next event and I’ll be sure to share some images with you once we receive them from the photographer.

The Stringspace Orchestra was so honoured to perform at “The CHANEL Dinner with the Australian Ballet” at the Sydney Opera House tonight.
This fabulous dinner was a celebration of CHANEL’s new patronage of The Australian Ballet as “Living Heritage Partner” and the beginning of a new season. We were super thrilled to include a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings – the opening piece in the Australian Ballet’s current New York Dialects program – for the invited guests.
CHANEL VIPs attended this glamorous event, editors of Vogue, AFR, T Magazine, Marie Claire, WISH, and members of the Australian Ballet, including their current director David Hallberg.
A big thank you to James Beck, from the Sydney Art Quartet, for recommending Stringspace again.

Right at this moment, our solo violinist is performing at a wedding proposal. The lead-up songs are Iris and Tale As Old As Time, then proposal… and then Another One Bites the Dust! We’re really hoping she says yes!
“Just wanted to let you know that last night was fantastic. The band were wonderful, and the songs they played were great. Some of the guests commented on the music and even asked the company we booked through. So you might have some new clients Until our next gallery event! – Susie (Crestone Wealth).
Also, a great response from our bride from Saturday – “Can you please send my greatest thanks to your musicians. They did an absolutely beautiful job on my wedding day. Everyone was so impressed by their sound. All the best, Antonietta”
