Stringspace Sydney Wedding Music & Info

There are 4 main sections in a wedding ceremony where music is usually performed:

    1) As guests arrive and are seated
    2) Processional - bridal party entrance music
    3) Signing of the Register - usually about 8 mins worth of music
    4) Recessional

Timing: From experience, Stringspace recommends booking for 1.5 hours for a wedding ceremony to cover all 4 sections.

Wedding Repertoire:

AS GUESTS ARRIVE: You choose the style. eg. Classical (such as Mozart, Bach & Handel) or pop. We usually recommend classical for this section.

We also recommend that you choose 4 songs from our Repertoire page for the ceremony.

  • 1 song for the Processional
  • 2 songs for the Signing of the Register
  • 1 song for the Recessional.

Catholic mass: If you are having a full Catholic Mass please let us know at the time of booking as we can also perform music for Offertory and Communion.

COCKTAILS & CANAPES:

For outdoor ceremonies, Stringspace are often asked to perform for guests whilst the bride and groom are socialising and/or having their photos taken. You can choose the style. eg. classical, jazz or pop.

RECEPTION/AFTER PARTY options:

Stringspace are aware of the importance of their role in establishing a mood at your event.

Jazz band: Stringspace can offer a Special Discount if you book both a String Quartet and Jazz band for your wedding on the one form. Please click on our Jazz band page for jazz booking details. If you are wanting to book both Strings & a Jazz band we recommend booking the Strings for your ceremony, and the Jazz band for your reception.

Strings & sax: You can book a saxophone to join the String Quartet for jazz &/or pop.

Solo Harp: for events which are inside and have good accessibility. Prices start at $660

Solo Cocktail Piano music is another stylish possibility. Please view our jazz page for prices. We recommend booking this option if there is a piano at your venue.

 

Please note prices, requirements and some repertoire may differ from the Stringspace String Quartet's, when booking The Jazz band, sax, harp, guitar or other Stringspace options.
