stringspace - Sydney String Quartet Costs & Bookings: It is important to read all costs & bookings information carefully before making a booking. Deposit /

Stringspace bookings: Step 1: Email your enquiry with date, time and venue address. Please mention if you would like a free Stringspace Live Samples CD. Step 2: Fill in the Stringspace booking form (doc | pdf) and email or fax back to Stringspace. Step 3: Ensure that the final payment is made and the song list is sent by 10 days prior to your event.
The confirmation deposit is $330 ($300 + $30 GST) and will confirm your booking with Stringspace. The confirmation deposit is non-refundable. Alternatively if you would prefer to pay upfront in 1 installment, please mention at the time of booking. Please allow 3-4 business days for your receipt.

A String Quartet is made up of 2 violins, 1 viola & 1 cello and has the richest harmonies. A String Trio is 2 violins & 1 cello.A String Duo is either 1 violin & 1 cello or 2 violins. Double String Quartet - a double string quartet is made up of 4 violins, 2 violas & 2 cellos.The price is double that of the above listed string quartet prices. String Quintet - a string quintet is 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello & 1 double bass.Please email for a quote. Strings + saxophone Quintet - Strings + saxophone quintet or sextet is a possible jazz/pop option. Strings + singer - you can book either a classical or jazz/pop singer with Stringspace to sing with the string quartet. The string quartet is our most popular option. Stringspace String Orchestra - Stringspace can also book string orchestras and full orchestras for:
Contact Stringspace directly for a quote. Stringspace Solo Harp: Stringspace can book solo harpists for your wedding or corporate event. Prices start at $550 for 1.5 hours. Stringspace Flute: Stringspace can also book solo flute, flute & harp or flute with strings in a quartet or trio. Stringspace Piano: Stringspace can provide either solo classical or solo jazz piano to perform cocktail music at your event. The prices for Solo Piano are the "Solo" prices as listed above starting at $440 for a 1 hour booking. - Stringspace arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of scheduled event. - Stringspace recommend making wedding ceremony bookings for 1.5 hours. - All special requests from our repertoire lists must be finalised at least 10 days prior to your event. - Stringspace is also able to perform as a trio or violin duo, although please be aware that most of our more popular classical music is written for string quartet. For this reason we highly recommend a string quartet for weddings, where this repertoire is most often performed.
- Please note that full payment is expected (and appreciated) at least 10 days prior to the date of the event. Charges may apply for late and overdue payments. Credit Card: We accept Visa, Mastercard & AMEX. 1) A 1.5% surcharge applies to all VISA & Mastercard credit card payments. There is a 3.5% surcharge for AMEX. 2) Please do not provide credit card details by email. It is okay to supply credit card details as an emailed attachment. eg. on your booking form 3) To confirm total cost and make a credit card payment, please contact Stringspace by phone, fax or post or download the credit card booking form (doc | pdf) and email or fax it back to us. 4) If you would prefer to book and make your payment with credit card over the phone please call Stringspace on: 0412 582 437.
Direct Deposit: Account Details: Stringspace (If paying by direct deposit nominate your name as payment reference in the comment field and notify Stringspace by email). Cheque or Money Orders: Please make cheque or money orders payable to "Stringspace" and contact Stringspace for postal details.
Live Performance Requirements: All events: 1) 4 chairs without arm rests. 2) Adequate reading lighting and performance space (2x3 metres). Outdoor events: Shelter from direct sunlight or rain is required.This may mean finding a location that has shade, eg. shade from trees, a verandah close to the ceremony or a gazebo. A large secure umbrella is also a popular solution. If raining, an alternate location for the event is required. Events longer than 1.5 hours: The musicians will require one 10 -15 minute break per hour. Breaks can be organised to coincide with speeches. The first break occurs after the 1st hour. Please provide refreshments for events longer than 1.5 hours and lunch/dinner for events longer than 4 hours.

We find most events can be organised by phone or email and do not require personal consultations. If you would like to book an event consultation, there is a $220 (inc. gst) additional charge. If you are interested in viewing Stringspace musicians performing prior to your event, please send an email for date and venue performance times.
The Stringspace $330 deposit is non-refundable. Notice of any cancellation is required no later than 5 days prior to the start time of your event. In the case of a cancellation occurring after this time, 50% of total hire charge (plus total deposit) will be payable. On the day cancellations are non-refundable.
The liability of Stringspace for any damages arising out of any booking, and/or any performance, is limited to the total amount of any fee which would otherwise be payable for such a booking or performance. Stringspace is covered for Public Liability by Marsh Australia for up to $20,000,000.
