Stringspace Perth musicians provided pre-show dinner entertainment for the Andrea Bocelli Show @ Burswood Entertainment Centre for Ticketek. (August, 08).

Stringspace Perth String Quartet players are perfect for your corporate event, wedding or party. Our musicians are selected from the WA Symphony, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Conservatorium and National Academy graduates.

Matt:

• Masters Degree at Manhattan School of Music on full scholarship.
• Cellist with the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra
• Sydney Conservatorium (BMUS).
• Big Brother Scholarship holder for studies in the UK.
• Performed with the Australian Opera & Ballet Orchestra.
• Performed with the string principals of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in a series of Chamber Music concerts in New York.

Shaun Lee-Chen:

• The winner of the 2007 ABC Young Performers Awards. He performed the Shostakovich Violin Concerto No. 1.
• Performs with the Western Australia Symphony.

Jennika:

• Cello performance degree from Manhattan School of Music, New York City.
• Performs regularly with Western Australia Symphony Orchestra.
• Musica Viva chamber music series.
• Summer Music Festivals: Banff Centre for the Arts & the Tanglewood Festival.

Semra L:

• Studied at the Western Australian Conservatorium of Music
• Performed in solo masterclasses with Dimitry Sitkovetsky and the Australian Chamber Orchestra's Richard Tognetti.
• Completed Post Graduate study at the Sweelink Conservatorium in Amsterdam
• Semra performed with a new music ensemble called "Sizzle" whilst studying in Amsterdam.
• Performs with the Western Australia Symphony.
• Concertmaster of the Perth production of Phantom of the Opera starring Rob Guest.
• Performed with Ray Charles, Harry Connick Jr, Ben Folds, the Whitlams, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Dianne Reeves, James Morrison, Kate Ceberano & Augie March.
• On the classical side Semra has also performed with Rostropovich, Valdimir Ashkenazy & Nigel Kennedy.
• String quartet & the Big Day Out backing Tex Perkins & Tim Rogers.

APEC Summit

Stringspace were chosen by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to be the feature String Quartet at the APEC summit luncheon hosted by John Howard for the President of the People's Republic of China - His Excellency Hu Jintao at the Sofitel Wentworth on Thursday 5 September, 2007. This event was also attended by Former Prime Ministers Bob Hawke and Gough Whitlam and Australia's current Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

Stringspace also provided the music for the APEC luncheon hosted by the former Australian Prime Minister John Howard in honour of His Excellency Vladimir Putin - President of the Russian Federation at Guillaumes - Sydney Opera House on Friday 7 September, 2007. This event was also attended by PM Kevin Rudd.

Stringspace have performed at some of Perth's most popular venues including Leeuwin Estate, Fraser's Restaurant & Kings Park.
