Stringspace Brisbane String Quartet players are ideal for your wedding, corporate event or party. Our musicians are selected from the Queensland Symphony, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Conservatorium and National Academy graduates.

APEC Summit

Stringspace were chosen by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to be the feature String Quartet at the APEC summit luncheon hosted by John Howard for the President of the People's Republic of China - His Excellency Hu Jintao at the Sofitel Wentworth on Thursday 5 September, 2007. This event was also attended by Former Prime Ministers Bob Hawke and Gough Whitlam and the leader of the opposition Kevin Rudd.

Stringspace also provided the music for the APEC luncheon hosted by the Australian Prime Minister John Howard in honour of His Excellency Vladimir Putin - President of the Russian Federation at Guillaumes - Sydney Opera House on Friday 7 September, 2007. This event was also attended by Kevin Rudd.

• Alice has also studied speech & drama at high school where she received an additional award for Top of the State (QLD).

• Performed nearly every major violin concerto with Symphony Orchestras by the age of 14.
• Performed Paganini & Bruch Violin Concertos @ the International Music Festival in Kiev.
• The Mozart, Paganini, Saint-Saens & Khachaturian Violin Concertos in Russia.
• Winner of the Pan-Soviet Violin Concerto - 1987 (Odessa)
• Winner of the Dvarionas Violin Competition - 1991 (Latvia)
• Winner of the Chiva International Competition - 1994.
• Concertmaster of Uzbekistan Presidential Chamber Orchestra - 1995
• Member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nations (Germany).
• Concertmaster of Cologne New Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra (Germany) - 2002-05. Performing with them in Spain, France, Norway, Canada, England, Belgium & Germany. In 2005 he gave several performances of Vivaldi's 4 Seasons at venues around Australia, including the Sydney Opera House.
• Based in Brisbane and performs as 1st violinist with Stringspace.

• Finalist in the Australian Chamber Music Competition.
• Collaborated with Didgeridoo soloist William Barton in a live Broadcast recording for ABC Classic FM.

• Has performed premiers of chamber music works by Australian Composers: Ross Edwards, Elena Kats-Chernin, Matthew Hindson & Peter Sculthorpe.
