  • Imants Larsens:

  • Current Associate Principal Viola in Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
  • Studied in Lucerne Switzerland at the Musikhochschule Zentralshweiz.
  • Recipient of many awards & prizes at Adelaide Eistedfords
  • Soloist with orchestras in France, Switzerland and Australia.
  • Soloist in the Recitals Australia subscription series.
  • Soloist in the Adelaide Bach Festival
  • Soloist in the Barossa Festival Academy
  • Masterclasses in Europe for Pinchas Zukerman & The Vermeer String Quartet
  • Adelaide Symphony (violin & viola).
  • Adelaide Art Orchestra.
  • Semi-finalist in the International Violin Competition in Munich, Germany.
  • Imants has also performed in musicials such as The Mikado, South Pacific, Boy from Oz, Porgy & Bess, Pirates of Penzance & Miss Saigon.

    Misa Yamamoto:
  • Currently based in Adelaide where she is studying towards a PhD in Performance at the Elder Conservatorium.
  • 1st Class Honours from Queensland Conservatorium.
  • University Medals for Highest Achieving graduate.
  • Graduate of Melbourne's National Academy of Music.
  • Brisbane Club Award
  • Sydney May Memorial Scholarship (AMEB).
  • Finalist in the Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards (2007)
  • Finalist in the Sydney Performing Arts Challenge.
  • A National Finalist in the 2004 National Piano Awards
  • Finalist in the 2002 Australasian Kawaii Concerto Competition
  • Numerous recitals throughout Australia and has been broadcast on ABC Classic FM and on ABC Radio Melbourne.

APEC Summit

Stringspace were chosen by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to be the feature String Quartet at the APEC summit luncheon hosted by Former Australian Prime Minister John Howard for the President of the People's Republic of China - His Excellency Hu Jintao at the Sofitel Wentworth on Thursday 5 September, 2007. This event was also attended by other Former Prime Ministers Bob Hawke and Gough Whitlam and Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

Stringspace also provided the music for the APEC luncheon hosted by the former Australian Prime Minister John Howard in honour of His Excellency Vladimir Putin - President of the Russian Federation at Guillaumes - Sydney Opera House on Friday 7 September, 2007. This event was also attended by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.
